Dear fellow
union brothers, sisters, and retirees,
We are all currently living through the toughest economic times in our
lives. The slowdown of the US and worldwide economy has affected
all of us and our families as well. At the same time, the lack of
clear direction and leadership within MEBA and the MEBA Plans continues
to take us into unknown and uncharted waters. Remember, I
cautioned everyone of this many times during the last election and NOT
to my surprise, much of what I had predicted has indeed come about or is
on the verge of coming about. This is indeed the result of an
administration that lacks vision and any plan for the future.
However, now is not the time for despair but rather a time for resolve.
Make it your own personal resolution to get involved and pay
attention to the overall operation and direction of our union. Ask
the tough questions and demand straight answers and facts.
Keep a weather eye on the MEBA UNITED website as I will continue to
provide updated financial reports as they become available. Please

We may be a little down at this time in history but we are far from
being out. Hang in there and we WILL set this MEBA ship of state
back on a true course.
